WHO WE ARE

SignaMold & Design, LLC was created by Don and Mimi Dorsey to establish a quality product that has been lost to overseas companies and other businesses that have lost sight of the craftsmanship of a Custom Tool Shop.

The name "SignaMold" came from Mimi's Mom and Dad being the original owners of Signicast in Milwaukee Wi.  Mimi's father was a Mold Maker/Machinist back in the 50's and early 60's.  Her mother took over the business when her father passed away and later sold it in the mid 60's.

Don has been in this industry for almost 40 years.  He started in this business because of his father-in-law, who was a toolmaker and he taught him the trade.  You might remember Don at Aus-Tech Mold, Star Mold or Detail Mold and Design, where he was Operations Manager. Our company has over 150 years of combined experience in plastic injection mold making from Cow Tag molds to very complex close tolerance Fiber Optic Connector Molds, Metal Injected Molds, 2 Shot Molds and Over Molds. We do precision mold repairs and build custom tools that will help push our customers business to the next level.

Our focus is meeting the consumer's needs with a support system that will make you feel like part of the family.

SignaMold also works with surrounding high school students by providing an apprenticeship program to promote the next generation of tool makers.
